Girralong, New South Wales, Australia
Girralong Rainforest Retreat is located on the North Coast of New South Wales only 45 minutes from Nambucca Heads. Whether a weekend get-away or an extended break, this is a chance for you, your family and friends to have a unique holiday experience.
Your retreat is hidden away in a secluded valley adjoining the Juugawaarri Nature Reserve and the New England National Park, surrounded by rainforest near a pristine stream. This area was spared from the devastating forest fires in 2019, and is now part of the largest unburnt tract of forest in northern New South Wales. This makes it an important refuge for plants and animals.
A comfortable, spacious, self-contained, 3 bedroom off grid-solar powered home provides a place where families and friends can relax, unwind and explore the surrounding forest and its wonders. You may choose to relax on the veranda, enjoying the peace of the bush and the abundant birdlife, or visit the tranquil waterfall upstream. For the more adventurous you can walk off track and explore the majestic forest and discover its diversity of animals and plants. You can also access and explore, by four-wheel drive or mountain-bike, an extensive network of tracks in the adjoining Juugawaarri Nature Reserve, state forests and New England National Park.
