Spirit of the Rainforest is nestled in the hinterland of the Nambucca Valley, half way between Sydney and Brisbane. We are 12 kms or 15 minutes drive from the Historic verandah post town of Bowraville & 1 hour or 70 km South of Coffs Harbour. 25 minutes off the M1 at Macksville or Nambucca .The Shed is nestled on 100 acres of farmland and is also a Designated Land for Wildlife Property.
The space
32 years back, Julie and Nick made a big move from the bustling Central Coast in search of a more peaceful country/coastal lifestyle to raise a family, with room for horses and growing a Rainforest. They came across an old 100 acre dairy farm in the hinterland of the Nambucca Valley and quickly relocated to this place of natural mystic surrounded by lush forest valleys and mountains. With a big vision of regenerating the property into a wildlife/habitat/human haven, they got busy creating lush rainforest gardens and wildscapes, planting out gullies and ridges with native rainforest plants, bushtucker gardens, planting a Davidson Plum orchard and collecting/growing local rainforest species to regenerate our land and others.
Spirit of the Rainforest is one of those magical places that will make you feel like you are home in nature, naturally. The peaceful energy of the land invites you in to slow down, reconnect with the natural rhythm of nature, with the sun, moon, trees, birds and all the wildlife and birds who have made this place home.
